Each new year marks the begining of a new series of life lessons and experiences. Most deem this as the time to change how they’ve once been for the better, and start over anew. However, in most cases, these ambitions die out before we even hit February. In 2010, the MESH. team would like to give a big #weoffthat to New Years Resolutions. Yes, we should still celebrate to bring in the New Year, but each and every day should mark a time for personal growth and learning. Always strive to make the next day better than your last.

It’s a mellow and soulful cut which features production from Charlie Bereal and Craig Brockman.”Love Again” is a certified winner, and gives me what I need from Tweet. I can’t wait to see what else the album has in store–it is slated for a fall 2010 release.

Remember the name next time your ice-laden drink becomes a bit too watered down for your taste.
The good ole folks [more specifically Scotch-lover Andrew Hellman] of Perkinsville have developed the Soapstone Whiskey Stones to combat this all-too-common problem. Instead of dealing with ice cubes that are sure to melt and dilute as you slow sip the old Jim Beam, try these stones.
1. Freeze the stones for a few hours.
2. Plop them [preferably 3] into your drink. After only 5 minutes of standing, they will substantially chill your malt to a chill temperature and keep it that way for a good amount of time.
3. When finished, wash, dry, and put them back in the freezer until the next use.
One of my favorite girls. She never knows when enough is enough! A lot of guys like the simplicity in a girl— and I mean, so do I. Yet, if I have to choose, i’m not going on the simple list.
I love a girl who throws on heels and a runway-ready fit… for the movies.

Whether Louie Vuittoned up [yes, we have the labels] or a little less, ostentatious [ha!] We play both sides. Bi isn’t always bad.
Therefore I introduce you to the sneaker label that has been all but forgotten: Reebok. What used to be the hottest shoe label on the market not named Nike, the folks over the pond seem to be making a resurgence. Starting with the Reebok Pump Twilight Zone retro sneakers [1990 edition.]
I used to love Greek Mythology, still do actually.
So yesterday while snowed in at home, I sat down and watched one of my all-time favorite movies: 1981′s Clash of the Titans. The flick, full of old school heavy hitters like Burgess Meredith, Dame Maggie Smith, and Laurence Olivier tells the tale of the Greek hero Perseus and his many conquests. Its all there: Zeus, Mt. Olympus, Medusa, Pegasus –heaven for a greek geek like me.
But I digress.
Whenever I’m watching a movie on my computer, I’m bound to wikipedia something about it to learn more. Whether looking up the inspirations behind the movie, fact finding, or reading the plot outline to clear up any questions I might have, I always wiki something! So of course, I looked up “Clash of the Titans,” and what do you know, there’s a remake coming out next year in March!
And then I saw… there’s tons of sequels and adaptations coming out next year, so I thought I’d post a few.

For the new music today I thought it would be cool if majority of the artists weren’t big names. So, lets kick it off with two names you should know followed by a few names trying to get their break into the industry.
Here’s a leak from Beyoncé called “Black Culture.” It is an interesting recording that sounds like it samples Michael Jackson. I doubt this song is anything to take too seriously, it really sounds like Beyoncé was just having fun in the studio. The track isn’t amazing but it is an interesting ode to the late King of Pop and a fun experiment.
I want to give a special shoutout to my homegirl Brittany for giving me the tip off about this! Here is the official trailer for Sex and The City 2. I am a huge Sex and The City fan, and pride myself on having seen every single episode ever created. (I had a lot of time on my hands freshman year) I am more than excited to see this, and I’ll probably watch the trailer atleast 5 more times before I go to see. I can’t wait to get CARRIEd away, can you?!
R&B ‘it-boy’ of the moment Trey Songz covers the January issue of Honey Magazine. In his interview (that is no where near as raunchy/sexual as his last) he talks about how he’s grown, twitter, and competition in the male R&B game.
Here is the fifth single and video from Jay-Z’sBlueprint 3 album, “Young Forever” featuring Mr. Hudson. This is my favorite track on the album, and the video is extremely simple, to the point and does the song justice. If you haven’t already, make sure to cop the Blueprint 3 , and definitely cop Mr.Hudson’s Straight No Chaser–both were certainly some of the best of ’09.
Here’s the cool/fun video for band Ok Go‘s latest “WTF?” featured off their upcoming album Of the Blue Colour of the Sky releasing in January. I’m a sucker for fun and borderline pointless videos (Ok Go master this well).

Ban.Do is an accessory line out of Los Angeles that features fun and colorful head bands, belts, and corsages. Although the prices aren’t exactly a steal (most of the head bands range from $30-45), the line is a cool one that caters to the needs of those with that funky eclectic style. Check some of their head bands out.

The next single coming from Timbaland‘s highly underwhelming album Shock Value II will be “Carryout” featuring Justin Timberlake. I think it’s a smart move as it’s one of the few decent tracks I like on the disc. The video trailer (I think it’s funny all music videos are getting trailers nowadays) shows performance footage and an interview. The full video will be released in January.
One of my favorite tracks from Mariah Carey‘s latest effort Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel “Up Out My Face” is getting the single treatment. Of course, the track is being remixed featuring hot girl rapper of the moment Nicki Minaj. Here are a few pics from the shoot.
Mariah is dropping a re-release of her album that will feature a remix for each track. It’s due February 23.
