What’s Impossible?

After 3 weeks of having to run this town on my own, one of the other PNC’s, AR finally made his way up to NYC.

After being dismissed– we don’t ask to go home, from our internship we met up for happy hour with our homegirl Ashley [insert witty statement for "bad b****] for some after-work happy hour. We hit up this little spot Cooper’s 35 in the East Village, because they have the cheapest drinks in town. (Too bad their service isn’t that great) Either way, we had a blast catching up and planning our future domination.

As most of you know I’m currently in NYC interning and holding it down for the MESH. crew. This past weekend we were invited to the launch party of Belvedere Vodka‘s newest flavor, Pink Grapefruit. Alongside my big sister Victoria Reese I attended the event, which took place at the Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Pop-Up Store in the Meatpacking District. The guestlist included Alek Wek, ?uest Love, Bevy Smith, Keri Hilson, Dee & Rickey, Sessilee Lopez, Rosie Perez, and more…

Prior to the main event, Bevy Smith hosted one of her private “Dinner’s With Bevy” to celebrate the launch. The entire night was entitled “In The Pink“, and celebrated women who lead vibrant and creative lives. No wonder I was in attendence

Having recently watched The September Issue for the first time (save the boos and hisses– i know i’m late),  I’ve gained a different take on the infamous leader of the free (fashion) world, American Vogue Magazine Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. Seeing a glimpse into Anna the person, and not Anna the deadpan-straight-business-ice queen-of-Vogue was great. I really feel like she’s a great spirit, and believing that, I want to know more… so why not go see her in person?

Of course I can’t just traipse into the Vogue offices at will (yet), but I (we!) can go see her when she’s out and about, so let’s do it.

Pratt Institute in NYC has  announced that Anna will speak at the school’s Brooklyn campus at Memorial Hall Auditorium on Monday, April 19 at 6 p.m. for a lecture that is free and open to the public.

Seating is limited however, therefore RSVP’s must be made by emailing events@pratt.edu by Tuesday, April 23rd. Media spots are also available (contact Amy Aronoff).

After the lecture, there will also be a question-and-answer session with Anna and who I personally believe is one of the best dressed men in the world: Hamish Bowles, European Editor-At-Large for Vogue.

The fact that it’s on a monday is a bit icky being that I live in DC, but I’m seriously considering a trip to NYC for this.

Beyoncé and Solange were spotted promoting the Samantha Thavasa x Disney handbag collection. Last year the Knowles became the first African Americans to model the luxury handbag line.

Side note: Solange looks good. The bald thing works for her.

Usher was seen hosting a party for Vegas Magazine in celebration of his recent cover/shoot which can be seen [here]. Yay Usher and all but what I want to know is what shoes are he wearing? They appear to be dope and I need to get my hands on some of them.

Aisha Johnson is going to kill me. I always try to shy away from doing too many posts about a certain celebrity over a period of time. Not too long ago, I dedicated a post to the sexy Kelly Rowland and her beautiful legs, well the beauty doesn’t stop. Something about these photos of Kelly at the 2010 Madden Football Game Celebrity Match got me looking at Ms. Kelendria with my yearning (*cough* lustful) eye again. The girl is gorgeous.

I want to play a game with her. I’d definitely let her tackle me any day. Too bad this was just flag football huh?

I just have this question lingering in my head: Why is Rihanna such a bad bitch?

Seriously, her steez is beyond this world. She might not be able to sing that well but the chick can pull almost any look off (even this one that isn’t really doing too much) and that makes everything else ok. I laugh at how she took that hideous Cassie style haircut and made it the flyest thing when she did it. I’m anxious to hear her and Kanye’s feature on Jay-Z’s “Run the Town” dropping later this week.

Chicks in the game, attempt to be as fly as she is. Please?

It’s been said on countless Twitter updates, Facebook statuses, and text messages–If you were in DC and not at 20/20 The Vision is Clear presented by IPO Lifestyle Group and MESH. you were dumb! The event was a total success and IPO was largely responsible for everything. The grown and sexy atmosphere at Tabaq Bistro coupled with the amazing music blend courtesy of DJ Big Will made the night a memorable one. The event kicked off with a very relaxed lounge vibe as all the guest were feeling each other out but after a few drinks in the system and Big Will going in on the music, it quickly turned into a live, hype, extremely fun event filled with laughter, dancing, photography, and of course fly dressing. Ashaya Robinson churned out an awesome performance.  Big ups to the Wesley Jackson of IPO who orchestrated the entire event and who was the birthday boy of the evening. And a major ups to my PNC Aaron Randle holding it down as the night’s host. The only let down of the evening was that my beautiful PNC Aisha Johnson couldn’t make it.

Wimbledon Singles Champions Roger Federer and Serena Williams attend the Champions Dinner at the Hotel Intercontinental in London, England.

The Hater’s were rampant:

“She’s not focused” “Talent gone to waste” “Serena needs to do more” “Why is she acting, designing, LIVING!” “Disappointment.”

Fast forward a few years–all of Serena’s “more focused contemporaries” have either retired or flamed out. Serena? She’s currently the number 2 player in the world (Venus is #3) and is the current reigning Wimbledon, US Open, and Australian Open singles champion. [3 of the 4 biggest titles in America]. Serena goes to her own beat, and I’m not mad. Whether it’s life or tennis– it’s all a game.

Serena wins.

Gabrielle Union seen yesterday leaving Cafe Bustelo in NYC.

I’m starting to think Gabrielle’s birth certificate has a typo (October 29, 1972). I’m thinking that “72″ should be an “87″ cause she’s not looking a day over 21, let alone 36.

I know we age well but she doesn’t age at all.
