Music.Edge.Style.Heaven.

Love days like this when there’s nothing but good ol’ plain hip hop to post. No pointless hooks, catchy gimmicky lyrics, or dances associated with these. Not that anything of course is wrong with any of that, [trust, the ipod is full of all types of pop] but sometimes, in a time when old people [and pessimistic young ones] consistently remind us that hip hop is dead, it’s good to have these little reminders that they couldn’t be more wrong.

So here goes your daily dose of dope. Real healthy. No pop here. Caffeine free.

First up a track from Eminem and Weezy “No Love” .

This track should be on Em’s new Recovery album. I’m excited. I feel like Em just needed to get one out of his system and that’s what Relapse was . But, with the leaks i’m hearing, it’s seeming to shape up like Em’s really gonna come hard on this next one. Extra points for sampling Haddaway’s classic “What is Love”.

Next up is “High Rise” from G.O.O.D. Music Label artist Big Sean. Sean’s been doing this for a while, and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before dude really makes it. He got talent.. sucks he’s on a label with so many heavy hitters that he can’t quite seem to find his shine time, but like I said..it’s coming. High Rise is a smooth track from Sean, and is what I think will be his first single off his upcoming album, “Finally Famous” slated to drop later on this year.

Next up, a real quick freestyle from the big blue mammal. Wale always goes in on his freestyles. And though I think if I ran through the ABC’s this song would be over by the time I reached “Z,” it’s still dopeness.

Lastly we have my favorite out of the bunch. A new freestyle from Em over a Tim Westwood beat. Everyone knows Timmy brings the best out of Em and this is no different. This shit is beastly! Props to Royce Da 5’9, Slaughterhouse, and Alchemist for bringing extra fire as well.

No preview. Just trust me and Download HERE

Enjoy!

“Up Out Of My Face” – Mariah Carey f. Nicki Minaj

First up, the new single from our new favorite drunk and Ms. Minaj. Nicki starts off strong per usual and Mariah keeps it that way. Really diggin this single.[DOWNLOAD HERE!]

•••

Knockout – Lil Wayne f. Nicki Minaj

I don’t like this song. Consider this nothing more than Exhibit A of “Why I could care less about Rebirth.” Nothing’s worse than when an artist tries too hard. Wayne, you’re not a rocker–neither are you Nicki. Fuck outta here. [DOWNLOAD HERE]

•••

“Bedrock Freestyle” – Wale [DOWNLOAD HERE!]

This reminds me why I bang with Wale so hard. Almost forgot after that ATROCIOUS Hip Hop Awards freestyle fiasco. But hey, the man with the most underrated album of ’09 goes IN. This freestyle is DOPE!

•••

“Thank You Freestyle” – Wale [DOWNLOAD HERE]

See above statement.

•••

“Drop The World Freestyle” – Royce Da 5’9 [DOWNLOAD HERE]

One of the most criminally underrated artists of the last decade. Royce been doing this, but let this be your introduction. Murders this freestyle.

•••

“Big Dog (I Wanna Rock) Freestyle” – Young Jeezy [DOWNLOAD HERE]

Shhh— don’t say it out loud, but somewhere between Thug Motivation 101 and now, Jeezy has lowkey become one of my favorite rappers. With arguably two classics under his belt [and one of the ten best rap albums of the last decade], you need to pay attention when this guy speaks. So listen up.

•••

“Upside Down” – Snoop Dogg f. Nipsey Hussel & Problem (my fave!!) [DOWNLOAD HERE]

Big Snoop and his illegitimate son team up on this track. Is it worth your time? Let’s just say after I heard this cut, I immediately gave Snoops entire album a listen [its damn good]. Beat is sick, Nipsey goes hard, this just goes. Call this my favorite song out of this post [u know I'm a sucka for a party song].

•••

“Buffalo Bill” – Eminem [DOWNLOAD HERE]

Deranged Eminem always has a place in my ipod. Marshall’s always at his best when at his most weird. No exception here.

Hope you enjoy!

  • Eminem > Budden > Mos/Black Thought > Nicki Minaj > KRS > Nipsey Hussel > G’Saan> Wale…

Concluding Hypothesis:

Hip Hop lives. Shut da fxck up.

Got A Resulting Equation I should borrow? Let me know

Everyone gotta be having a beef with everyone. The Mariah Carey vs. Eminem one is slightly amusing. Check Em’s latest diss to the pop legend.

Hmmm.

Eminem began his rise to fame with The Slim Shady LP in 1999, but there has been large speculation amongst his fanbase over an album that he had actually released 3 years prior. The album was more like a demo that he used to help get his name out there, and because of the small number of actual copies most thought it was only a rumor. The album, titled Infinite, features Eminem rapping in a lower key than the high-pitched voice he raps with today. This was before he had fully developed the Slim Shady character that gained him his popularity. According to Em, people claimed he sounded a lot like Nas, who was a large influence on him at the time. Infinite has now been made available by Eminem for free online.

The Tracklist includes:

1. “Infinite”
2. “W.E.G.O. (Interlude)”
3. “It’s O.K.” (featuring Eye-Kyu)
4. “313″ (featuring Eye-Kyu)
5. “Tonite”
6. “Maxine” (featuring Denaun Porter)
7. “Open Mic” (featuring Thyme)
8. “Never 2 Far”
9. “Searchin’ ” (featuring Denaun Porter)
10. “Backstabber”
11. “Jealousy Woes”

Madonna Feat. Lil Wayne – “Triggerman” (SNIPPET)

No this isn’t a typo. Madonna and Wayne are together on a track. Though this snippet only has Wayne’s verse, it sounds interesting. Look out for MESH to post the full song soon as it drops.

Okay, so apparently if you are a rapper in this world, you have fashion style and swagger? (Something I just can’t agree with at all). Complex Magazine launched a (Style War)-click here competition among rappers  in the game to see which rappers beat each other when it comes to having true style and swagger. They also released the names of 5 rappers who just couldn’t make the cut and some interesting reasons as to why not.Rappers including Eminem and Ludacris, see who else just can’t dress (here).
