I always have this up and down relationship with Lupe Fiasco’s music. On the surface, I think his music is dope as hell but every once in a while I think he just completely fails. Anyways, check out the video for his latest single “I’m Beamin’”. It is lifted from his upcoming album Lasers. Checking for it?
I am really anticipating what B.o.B‘s album The Adventures of Bobby Ray is going to shape up to be. Here is another leak from the disc and it features Lupe Fiasco. I like the vibe of the track. Its one that once again shows off the originality of B.o.B. Once you get into his style of hip hop–I think you’re stuck. Lupe’s verse is my favorite, anyways, check it out.
A track with Tevin Campbell, Usher and Robin Thicke? Yes, it is true. Produced by Quincy Jones, the track samples “Secret Garden” by Barry White, El Debarge, Al B. Sure, and James Ingram. You can definitely feel the throwback vibe of the vocals go in.
The strength of R&B girl group RichGirl is their strong vocals. This leak “Millionaire” is a simple track that shows off those abilities. I’m interested to see if the group will ever release their debut album. It seems that they have been recording it for two years.
It’s a Dream track. If you don’t like it immediately, you’ll learn to love it. It’s nearly always the case. So, try to resist with this one featuring rapper T.I.
A nice Trey Songz leak. He is really consistent with his songs and is shaping up to be a strong force in the male R&B game.
Now iconic photographer, Terry Richardson, has recently teamed up with Hip-Hop stars Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell for his latest shoot.

This is the official first single from Lupe‘s upcoming album We Are Lasers, titled “Shining Down” featuring Matthew Santos. The track was officially leaked yesterday, but I was kind of torn about posting it, because of the feelings Lupe expressed in regards to it leaking before it debuted [read here]. I respect about 90 percent of the musicians I post about on this site, and you know Lupe is my boo. His whole first album got leaked, which we all know cost him from going Platinum. To me, Lupe Fiasco is one of those artists that doesn’t get enough credit, SO … ima make your asses wait for a download. In the meantime, just listen and go buy the record when it drops. Yeah, i’m a Lupe groupie.

Well, my music alarm has always been set to the right time. A lot of people sleep on Beyonce’s baby sis, Solange Knowles (who wants to not be associated with big sis like I just did–sorry Solange). Her CD Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams was actually one of the most solid efforts of last year (surprised she isn’t nominated for any Grammy’s). Here is a set from Solange performing in London.
