Quick answer: Not really.
[All Eyes on Me- The Clipse ft. Keri Hilson] (Definitely what’s up!)

Here is the trailer for Tyler Perry‘s latest project, “I Can Do Bad All By Myself“, starring Taraji P. Henson, Adam Rodriguez, Brian White, Mary J. Blige and Gladys Knight.
What do you think?
As some of you may know Johnta Austin is a very well known song-writer in the R&B game. He is responsible for some of the biggest hits of this century, such as “Don’t Forget About Us” by Mariah Carey “Be Without You” by Mary J. Blige and “Miss You” by Aaliyah just to name a few.
Johnta has been heavy with the new releases these days to build up more of a reputation as an actual artist rather than writer. Ocean Drive is a compilation of demos he’s done for other artists as well as himself over the years. I guess he decided to release this so people would get a feel for his sound?
There’s no doubt that his lyrics and the production on these tracks are fiyah, but I still have to get used to his vocals. They’re good, but at times come off a bit strained. Nevertheless, he’s a pretty decent artist with a lot of potential especially with his excellent writing skills to keep him afloat.

Very nice video, Mary looks great and I’m feeling his little speech in the beginning.
It was announced earlier this morning that one of the Black community’s most esteemed magazine publications, VIBE, would be folding. The news came as a shock to the MESH. team and we are deeply saddened because magazines such as this one have paved the way for young Black journalists, like ourselves. Below is a snapshot of the official last issue of VIBE magazine, which will not be hitting stands. It features The Dream and Christina Milian.

VIBE was an entertainment and lifestyle magazine started by producer Quincy Jones in 1993. Since then it has featured legendaries, such as the late Michael Jackson, Barack Obama, The Fugees, TLC, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, and many more. VIBE spoke to a younger Black audience, unlike it’s counter parts Essence and Ebony. The publication will be deeply missed and not forgotten.

Someone decided to get mouthy and compare VIBE to BET. Here’s what my MESH. PNC Aaron had to say..
Not only has VIBE been the proverbial parchment for such masters of the art of journalism as Keith Murphy, Touré, Danyel Smith, Dream Hampton, Aliya S. King, and so many others who are respected around the world, it has done, in its history, what BET has failed to do: retain readers, while still expanding upon it’s horizons and raising its legacy rather than resting upon it.
No other hip hop magazine has a subscription base of over 800,000 persons and is consistently the first to sell out on newsstands.
No other hip hop magazine has won numerous EDITORIAL awards for their outstanding caliber of writing.
No other magazine has been able to garner the noted respect of such giants as TIME, VOGUE, The New Yorker, Readers Digest, and so many others, on the superb quality of its content.
No other magazine pays attention not only to hip hop, but art, current affairs, literature, fashion, and so much more.

Webstar Feat. Jim Jones Juelz Santana, and Remo – “Dancing on Me”
What would the summer be like without a NY dance track? Start it off right [and get the party poppin] with this joint.

The Game – “Bang Along”
Say what you want about his… eccentric personality. The Game is real, and unlike most artists, has not neglected staying true to his music for fame and the lure of commercialization. THIS IS HIP HOP. DOWNLOAD.

Busta Rhymes Feat. Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Common, & John Legend – “Decisions”
Look at the line up. Enough said.

Fat Joe – “Music“
Smooth. Summer. Think Old School Chevy cruisin down the strip… 40 mph enjoying life.

Drake – “Take You Down Freestyle“
Drake goes in on Chris Brown’s beat. Hot. [I don't understand these Suwoop shout outs though. Drake clearly isn't a member, but whatever the track is hot nonetheless].

Eminem – “Insane“
Demented Eminem at it’s best. This track is disturbing, and i love it.

Big Sean Feat. Kid Cudi – “Rollin Remix“
The two hottest artists on Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Label (except for Yeezy himself of course). This track is hot, and I’m not even a huge Cudi fan.

Madonna Feat. Lil Wayne – “Triggerman” (SNIPPET)
No this isn’t a typo. Madonna and Wayne are together on a track. Though this snippet only has Wayne’s verse, it sounds interesting. Look out for MESH to post the full song soon as it drops.
